Since 1995, we have taken great pride in building our foundation of full South African boer does. We strive for structural correctness, deep muscling, bone, femininity, and a strong mammary system.
"Gatwood Farms Matanda"

A correct, two-teated, long bodied, 5-year old doe out of "Hoot" and "Granny-726" (a CODI doe). Matanda is an IBGA Permanent Champion and has passed ABGA visual inspection. As a junior she has won several championships including Pomona, CA, Mississippi State Fair, Louisiana State Fair, and North Carolina State Fair.

As a 4 year old "Matanda" won:
  • 1st & Sr. Grand Champion - South Plains Fair, Lubbock,TX - Judge: John Edwards
  • 1st - State Fair of Texas - Judge: Preston Farris
  • 1st, Sr. Grand & Over-all Grand Champion - OK State Fair - Judge: Preston Farris
  • 1st - LA State Fall Boer Show - Judge: Frank Craddock
As a 5 year old,

  • 1st - Indiana State Fair - Judge: Terry Blair
""Gatwood Farms Jika""
At 11 months, "Jika" is a correct 2-teated show quality doe. Her sire is "GF Kiraka". Her dam, "GF Ivory Penny", is a "Hoot" daughter.
Annaset is a Codi/PCI doe out of the famous "Kaptein". She has passed ABGA visual inspection and is an IBGA Permanent Champion. In the show ring, she has placed first at the 2000 ABGA Nationals and at the 2001 ABGA San Antonio Livestock Show. She has been a Grand Champion numerous times including the 2000 IBGA Nationals, the 2000 ABGA over-all at Perry, Ga., and the 2001 Fort Worth Livestock Show. "Hill Country Annaset"

Both sired by "Hoot" and are two-teated. "Granny's Gal" was the 2000 IBGA National Junior Champion. She has passed ABGA visual inspection. "Valentina " was the 2000 Fort Worth Livestock Show Junior Champion.
Outstanding "Martin" and "Bubezi" grand-daughter with a tremedous front-end. Her dam is "Gatwood Farms GiGi" , a producer of show winning off-spring and a champion herself. "Lizzy Anne" was the 2001 Dixie Nationals Jr. Grand Champion and the 2002 Dixie Nationals Sr. Grand Champion. She was also the SSMGA Yearling Grand in Dec. 2001. "Gatwood Farms Elegance Eve"
This "Hoot" daughter is 4½ years old. She is correct and two-teated. Her dam was a full venter doe out of the Canadian Balson herd. A favorite of Patricia's, she has never been shown. Her grand-daughter will be in our '02 fall show string.
A tremendous meaty yearling boer doe out of "Rascal". Her dam - "Gatwood Farms Lady Sunshine" (A "Muzuri" - Venter, Balson cross) was the 2000 Reserve Meat Goat Champion,Fort Worth, TX, 1998 Jr. Grand at MS State Fair & NC State Fair. "Sunshine's Dream" won 1st at the ABGA '01 Magnolia Classic. She was the 01 Jr. Res. Grand - International Lebanon, TN; '01 Jr. Grand IBGA MS State Fair; '01 SMMGA Jr. Grand and Over-all Reserve Grand; and '02 Dixie Nationals Yearling Grand. "Gatwood Farms Sunshine's Dream"
"GiGi" is a correct two-teated doe. Her dam is "Gatwood's Jo-peep", a "Kaptein" grand-daughter and her sire is "Bubezi", an International BGA Platinum Buck and IBGA Permanent Grand Champion that we showed in 97 & 98 from Dothan, AL. to Indianapolis, IN. She has passed ABGA visual inspection. In 1999, she was Jr. Res. Grand in West Virginia; Jr. Grand Pike County Fair, MS, and Jr. Res Grand Pomona, CA. At the 2000 Fort Worth, TX, Stock Show she was the Grand Champion Commercial Doe. "Gatwood Farms GiGi"
